Just finished it, I'd say 8/10. It was a fun book, even if you need Google Maps to understand all the locations he's going to. It reads like a goofy fairytale kind of story; overall it had a light and pleasant tone. The later part's big focus on the bear was a bit less interesting than the slice of life style journeying across finland, but it was all very nice to read.

I didn't care for the engagement stuff, I just felt like it was played up for shock value. However, I thought it was really funny how all the crimes were listed out at the end.

Lovely quick read about a "mid-life" crisis spurred on by a hare. Quite silly, as was intended by the author.

Grande successo dell'autore e giornalista finlandese Arto Paasilinna che critica il conformismo presente nella società. Il protagonista, Vatanen, salva una lepre e per questo gesto verrà creduto pazzo da tutti. La lettura scorre veloce, aiutata dall'ironia tagliente dello scrittore.

Needed a quick book to listen to while I did some chores today, and this ended up being a great choice. There’s something about nordics and extreme nonchalance in the face of crazy life experiences, this is like the third book I’ve read that fits that description, and honestly I find it hilarious every time. Writing style was a little bit bland in my opinion, but that’s just a preference, the story was engaging and I would recommend this book to others for sure.
A bit disappointed by this novel, I expected more of it, seduced in advance by the adventures the protagonist will live with his hare. Finally nothing that excited me, I expected it to be those weird successions of scenes and encounters but everything was for me too much staying at the surface of things and not at all going deep enough.
