Bless you Junji Ito. Such beautiful art. Kirie is stunning. Was immediately pulled in by the compelling plot. My jaw was on floor in awe of the horror that is created when beautiful art and compelling plot combined. Not sure how this can possibly escalate but excited to move on to Volume 2.

This feels like a series of creepy short stories that converge into a nightmarish climax. The chilling imagery was unforgettable and I absolutely loved it.

Absolutely delicious. This was my first Ito Junji series, and I'm in love with his grotesqueness.

I haven't read an awful lot of manga and certainly not in the horror genre. The spiral horror is quite inventive in some ways and suitably creepy at times, but ultimately it feels like more of a formal exercise than something deeply felt.

Maddening, Maddening Manga. The spirals and images from this book haunted me for weeks on end. I would see spirals every time I closed my eyes. So Scary!
