Fabulous, recently declassified story of how the Israeli Mossad managed to exfiltrate a very large number of Ethiopian jews to Israel in the 1980's and 1990's. This involved covert activities by land, sea and air, and included the establishment of a diving school in Sudan which was used as an operating base for the execution of a large part of the plan.

Well written and gripping story. It dragged on a bit at the end though.

The first couple of chapters were very slow and bit dry, explaining the historical background of the rest of the book. Aside from a couple other stretches of needed background, the rest of the book was thrilling spy stuff of the 'can't put it down' variety.

Highly recommended for everyone who can put with the slow parts and difficult content for an exciting and thought provoking bit of history you don't hear much about.
