full of surprises with haunting edges, roshani chokshi served the world with yet another masterpiece. the last tale of the flower bride followed a story of two persons with secrets from their pasts, and one must not break the vows to keep their marriage fed with love. the book carried the plot with magnificent details of the world, and of course, with such beautiful prose. there were two different povs, and they each sank into the depths of two distinct stories. it filled with so many emotions ranging from love to pain.
books that were set in one particular area, with little to no interaction with the outside world, usually left me bored because of how monotonous things were. it didn't happen when i read tltotfb. everything that happened in the book was written with such demanding intensity that i thought i could really feel the emotion streaming from the words to the very core of me. and how i wasn't surprised the second i realized this was one of miss chokshi's works.

finishing the book genuinely felt like leaving the faerie world and i was left alone in the real world feeling nothing but emptiness

"I thought Indigo would smile. I thought she'd at least understand that much. She frowned. 'That's not how the story is supposed to go.' I unwound my hair from hers, and only then could I meet her at eye level. 'Maybe mine is different.'"
The writing is gorgeous ! The story was a little strange but I found myself really captivated by it. I've been Azure in many friendships and I really reasonated with her character and journey. Honestly maybe even a 4.5 for me :')
