Sassy, insightful, and necessary. Yunkapaorta had me hooked after his "lunatic, incendiary rant" on Prussia. At a time when the impacts of a narcissistic global system of power are hard to ignore, being welcomed into an Indigenous way of thinking felt like a breath of fresh air. "When you're laughing, you're learning". I'm going to be reflecting on the ideas from this book for some time.

A wonderful and thought-provoking book about using Indigenous Knowledge for global sustainability. Anybody who enjoyed Braiding Sweetgrass is bound to enjoy and learn from this as well, and there’s no need to be Australian for the ideas to be relevant.

I come from a colonized indigenous family that has lost most of our culture. The great thing about this book (for me) was that I allowed me to realize that although my family and I have lost so much, we never lost our way of thought. What a relief! I’m happy to see someone sharing these values and thoughts.

I definitely need to read this again, and I am really looking forward to it. I'm so glad the author has published another book and has a podcast as well. This book has expanded my way of thinking and made me feel as though I was running up against the very limits of my understanding at times. I have taken away much about sustainability to consider.
