I have Rupi to thank for my love of reading and writing poetry. This book changed my life.

If Taylor Swift is the Rae Dunn of music, Rupi Kaur is the Taylor Swift of poetry. Truly this should’ve stayed in the drafts.

A beautiful and emotional read. Takes you on a relatable, remarkable journey. Though you go to some dark places during the ride, you come out the other side feeling different than you did when you started.

There were some poems that I really enjoyed reading, there is something comforting within the depressing poems.  There were a few that I didn’t care for but the poems seemed blunt and to the point.
