LOVED IT!! This was such a great book, and so much happened! We continue from where book one left off, and AJ managed to get herself in a tricky situation with the crows and the saints. Now having to have a crow with her at all times, she has to go through a series of trials that could happen anytime and anyplace. During this time, while things are definitely getting heated between Grey, Rook, Corvus and herself she’s slowly starting to get to know them and understand them and vice versa. I love that AJ keeps her spark and her take no BS attitude! This series has been great and I can’t wait for the next book!!

  • things just kept getting more intense and gang-related and that is where i start to lose interest
  • i will say that i did still love the chemistry in this book and GOD AJ (i REFUSE to call her Ava Jade) and Rook's interactions were HOT with those knives and i liked that she could accept him in his feral ways
  • i actually had a bit of a soft spot for Rook and looked forward to his POVs which is not usually like me - usually i get annoyed by the 'feral' type man character with no empathy who has a touch of manic crazy in his personality (or more than a touch) but with Rook i found myself actually enjoying him a lot
  • there was this super cringe moment in this series when AJ got super overwhelmed so she just went into this room and SANG her feelings away with the song by this really indie underground masked boyband and Corvus was listening in and what in the name of Disney Channel CRINGE is that 🤮 like i cringed so hard reading it
  • and the three Crows are definitely that masked secret boyband there have been hints toward it and i just have enough dignity to not put myself through the abuse of reading that
  • had these characters been put in different plot i may have been able to continue, but it was just too much of shit i didn't like to continue through

Wow what a rush...this book from start to finish had me flipping pages so fast to see what happened next it was so flipping good. This picks up where Bk1 left off at and it hit the ground running and didn't let up until the end with that cliffhanger of an ending. I don't know how I feel about it, because there's still the mystery of who Ava's stalker is. Ugh now I have to wait for Bk3 to get answers. I need it line stat.
