This hit home for me. I loved this book đź’•
This was cute, and definitely a fun way to begin the holiday season. But it overall felt slow, particularly the last half. I did like all of the characters, their backstory, and depth. I just felt like there was a lot of filler. The end is very sweet though and made me feel warm and fuzzy
Thanks so much to NetGalley for early digital arc of this holiday read! This is a multi POV story again from Morgan but I loved that these three women intertwined more than her characters in past books. Even though it was three people they were all telling the same story.
This holiday tale centers around Imogen and she definitely feels like our main FMC. I loved getting to really see and feel her life prior to the holiday cottage takeover. It made that shift all the more real.
I wouldn’t call this a romance—definitely more family drama/women’s fiction. There is definitely “family drama” and some intense mother/daughter manipulation, so if that is triggering for you, be warned.
But the twists and turns and holiday delights—which of course do include a handsome vet and loveable dog—leave you feeling all the hallmark warmth of Christmas. Definitely recommend!

Cried happy tears! Such a wonderful Christmas story. You can’t help but adore the main character, Imogen, and wish literally every good thing in the world come her way. I feel like there could be more to this family & relationship. Perhaps a sequel?
I wasn’t sure how I would like this when I first started it. I usually love Sarah Morgan’s Christmas novels. This one started out a bit differently but it definitely ended up being a very enjoyable Christmas read. I saw the “twist” coming a mile away but I somehow don’t think it was supposed to be a surprise, more of a lead in to the real plot of the story. A very sweet family Christmas story. 4 stars!
