Cried happy tears! Such a wonderful Christmas story. You can’t help but adore the main character, Imogen, and wish literally every good thing in the world come her way. I feel like there could be more to this family & relationship. Perhaps a sequel?
I wasn’t sure how I would like this when I first started it. I usually love Sarah Morgan’s Christmas novels. This one started out a bit differently but it definitely ended up being a very enjoyable Christmas read. I saw the “twist” coming a mile away but I somehow don’t think it was supposed to be a surprise, more of a lead in to the real plot of the story. A very sweet family Christmas story. 4 stars!

This was a delightful read (as it always is when it comes to Sarah Morgan!)
There were plenty of twists to keep me on my toes, one causing me to stay up reading a lot longer than planned - and if that’s not a marker of a good book, then I don’t know what is.
And as always- it’s the characters that stand out. They are all wonderful but flawed, and I enjoy watching them learn and grown throughout the events in the book. Imogen was definitely the highlight for me this year, she was unique, complicated and interesting! These characters leap off the pages!

I thought this was really sweet! I found the characters lovable, though it took a while for Imogen to grow on me. I thought it was cozy, albeit a bit sad at times. I liked the setting and thought the author did a really good job setting the scene well, without getting overly descriptive. Overall an enjoyable Christmas read!
