While the romantic aspect of this novel is quite sparse, its emotional strength lies in the quick-moving and surprisingly believable drama around the protagonist's family history. Imogen and the cast of characters in her midst fill the pages with lifelike joy, sorrow, uncertainty, and celebration. For a story that could have easily qualified as Hallmark-cheesy, here is a book that delivers on its promise of true coziness.

Loved this book it was such a comforting Christmas read. I found it easy to connect with the characters. The setting of the Cotswolds in December was just gorgeous. I would love to read a sequel to this book.
