No answers, but a powerful resolution. A story of absences, questions, curiosity, exploration. Even though the ending is apparent early on, there is still that hope there will be clarity eventually that keeps the story moving.

Weirdly male-centered sometimes for a book that has features women nearly exclusively. The least interesting thing about the narrator and her experience is her relationship to men.

Hit me harder than expected that the narrator would never know the broad potential of music.

The story started so interesting but it became repetitive. There were so many unanswered questions and it felt like author created those to give more edge to the story and didn’t know how to elaborate more.

It was interesting to read that even in the saddest moments, there were things to be excited or happy about.
