A very cute Christmasy themed novella.

While the book might have been short, it definitely packed a punch. I especially liked how cohesive the theme of fate, destiny & serendipity ran through all the books in the series. Can't wait for Lark's book next.

4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars!  This was such a cute novella! Kat is recently divorced and wanting to start her life in a different city and decided to move and start working for her cousins in the family business.  She thought the life that she had with her ex-husband was the life that she had planned for herself. But was it really or was there something or someone else in her future?  Great story and wanted more..

This was a delightful little novella - CCJ managed to make the chemistry for these two pop off the page in just a few chapters. I love her writing and always want more.

I love the way CCJ paints pictures. Katari was humiliated by her husband and left her family's liquor company to work in sales at her cousin's brewery instead. Tending bar, she meets someone who reminds her of someone she used to know... and then he reminds her what she should be doing. And it leads to a great awakening.

I love the way this short unfolds. I know it's in a series and I'm excited to read the others. Katari standing up for herself and her life was a great triumph. Derrick never getting over her was super cute and I was glad that it gave the hint of romance, but it was really about Katari, getting back to who she was.
