This was a slow burn for me. The beginning felt too similar to Seven Husbands but towards the last half I had a hard time putting it down. The author really found her stride in talking about
Kitty moving to LA and all that comes after
. I enjoyed the dual-perspectives of the story as it kept me guessing at how they would join.

Story is compelling.  I especially appreciated the chapters of the characters in the past.  The writing style, though, was mediocre and bland.  It felt like a draft - the frame of a great story, but the writing was more utilitarian than distinctively stylistic.  The audiobook is enjoyable to listen to overall.
