This is a fast read and a very cute book. I can see mothers reading to there daughters before bed. It was just fun to read.

What a sweet, heartwarming fairy tale, with princesses and dragons, a la George MacDonald.

I would have loved this in middle school, but I'm definitely too old for it now.

This was a read for Milliways.

It was also all sorts of adorable. I sat down meaning to read the first half one night, and to finish it the next day, but it went so quickly and so cutely, I could not help staying up, flipping pages, until I got to the end. The puns are adorable, the main characters are endlessly lovable, and it is a beautiful little fairy tale.

I read this book with my 7 year-old, and at the end she declared it "great!" It is a cute, sweet story, with a good lesson about being happy in your own skin. I liked that it made the idea of being a beautiful, traditional princess sound utterly boring, and that Amy found someone who loved her for her. The names of the kingdoms and people were fun throughout. Wraps up a little too quickly and neatly, but it IS written for kids and shorter attention spans.

Thoroughly charmed. Wish I'd read this sooner.

A really fun classic that I somehow missed growing up but would have loved. Only thing that hasn't aged well is the use of the word Gypsy.

Another book I wish someone would have given to me when I was younger. Funny, heartwarming and smart, the story of the Ordinary Princess celebrates how being normal is no crime in a fairy tale or in life. Amy is delightful as a heroine who more than earns her happily ever after in the end.

Very unordinary and unique storyline and i haven't seen anything like this before so i am glad. Seems like a crossover of a bunch of different fairytales making its own.
