What an incredible book not written from the point of view of the addict but from the person watching from the outside. This story was so real in regards to addiction and showing how living and loving an addict affects everyone and everything around them. Addiction is a disease and needs to be treated with empathy and care instead of being a sign of “weakness.” The ending nearly had me in tears. I could feel my heart breaking but I absolutely loved this book.

A compelling book about what it's like to love someone with addiction. The characters are complex but still true to their ages. I wasn't as wowed by this one as [b:Girl in Pieces|29236380|Girl in Pieces|Kathleen Glasgow|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1469509467l/29236380._SY75_.jpg|44527044], but still a good story.

Very emotional and definitely could feel the main characters sadness and struggles. Different from
Other books I’ve read as there was nothing to “figure out”. I enjoyed the writer’s style
