If you appreciate the novel "1984" as the masterpiece of literature that I do, then you are sure to feel the same way about the graphic novel adaptation of it, mainly because it seems to contain nearly all the text of the novel. (I did not do a side by side comparison). What you do get with the graphic novelization are some amazing illustrations that really bring the story to life. My only complaint, and its a small one is that about every third panel has black text on a very dark colored background, making it difficult for me to read. But don't let that stop you from picking up this great graphic novel. Highly recommended!

It was great to read this classic novel in graphic novel form. The art really added to the mood of the book. Whole I can’t speak to how similar the writing style is to the original text, I was fully able to engage with my book club where everyone else had read the original. Also it is just ridiculously crazy how many of today’s political events mirror events in the book.

It's one of the dark dystopia novel that I have ever read. The Trump / Republican Politics in USA from 2016 to 2019 had so much similarity of what was described in this book.
I wanted to power through but it’s putting me to sleep
