The tension in this one was top tier, one of the best in the series

Enemies to lovers, grumpy/sunshine, one bed, forced proximity, 10 year age gap (24/34)

I reread this one like 4 days later bc I couldn’t stop thinking about it. This is definitely the best in the series other than maybe the first one with Willa and Ryder.

How much they care about each other is ridiculous. It’s so adorable how they support and love each other before they realize they’re IN love with each other. The enemies to lovers but they’ve secretly been in love the whole time is AMAZING. It’s really like -in love but can’t handle it so they hide it with anger to friends to fwb to lovers-

No third act breakup was a big plus. They like take time apart because Gavin needs to figure his life out and at first Oliver is like “omg what if he doesn’t want me” and then he immediately realizes that Gavin just needs to work through things and that maybe it’s for their benefit. But they weren’t really together before that so it wasn’t a “break up” and it wasn’t a big, dramatic miscommunication thing either which is always irritating lol so that was nice!!
