3.5 we lose a half star for lack of creativity because Gavin is just Roy Kent there are zero differences between them and Oliver is a version of Keeley.

That being said if you like Roy Kent— I have a feeling you’ll love this book.

Received an e-arc from Netgalley

This book had two of my favourite tropes, enemies to lovers and grumpy/sunshine mcs. I loved reading about the slow progression of Gavin and Ollie's relationship, as they dealt with their own personal growth as well as growing together as partners. I just love all of the Bergman family books, and can't wait for more.

OMG THIS WAS SO FREAKING ADORABLE

While I typically love the grumpy sunshine trope, Gavin takes grumpy to a whole other level, that's why ir wasn't a 5 star read for me. I did love Oliver. I loved the carrer related struggles for Gavin and the past burns that Oliver needes to get over to be able ro be in a relationship again.

Absolutely everything about this book was perfect. The people, the musical references, the tension, the representation of masculinity etc etc. Absolute chefs kiss. Thats it.

This book is AMAZING!

I've recently started watching Ted Lasso (yes, I'm very behind but similarly in love) and this hit all the same feels. It's a moving, heartfelt homage to the world and atmosphere Ted Lasso created and I'm completely here for it.

The characters are fantastic. I love each and every hot mess. Gavin and Oliver are beautifully flawed and messy and human. The push and pull they have going on, their rivalry, the pranks, the emotional growth are all excellently done. You can't help rooting for them as individuals and as a team. I do think I have soft spots for Ziggy and Willa so I'm going to have to check out their stories.

I'm going to be recommending this to everyone for a long time!

This was a slow burn, most of the spicy content is after the 80% of the book, so steady yourselves. However if you are a Roy-Kent-Stern-Brunch-Daddy-lovin’ soccer fanatic, you will endure.

Cute, hot, queer, thoughtful.
I’m just mad my family is not the Bergmans.

'I flash a dimpled smile.His scowl deepens.'

'The fact is, while I think he has the personality of a rusty freezer, I can’t deny that Gavin’s hot as hell.'

'I want to grab him by the shirt and shake him until I have a hold on him like he does on me.'
