Everything For You

Chloe Liese

4.12 AVERAGE

4.5 stars

Loved this. Oliver and Gavin were adorable. I would have given this 5 stars, but I would have liked to see when they first met and more of their early days that they knew each other.

Overall, this was so cute. I love this series so much. The Bergmans are such fun characters and the relationships are always top tier. Gavin gave me major Roy Kent vibes which is a huge plus. Excited for the next book!

To think this book would have been a DNF! I'm glad I read it!

The beginning was subpar in Chloe Liese standards but fortunately it picked up. It is a beautiful romance with heartwarming scenes! Oliver's character resonated a lot with me. Seeing the Bergman family dynamics never bores me. The Bergman family is one of my favourite fictional families! ❤️ But this romance was just average when compared to the rest of the Bergman series. Can't wait for Viggo's story thou!

I love love love Oliver and Gavin

“Being alone,” he says, “is not the same as being lonesome.”

Gavin and Oliver had been teammates for two years and Oliver had been on Gavin’s last nerve that entire time. Forced into being co captains the pair have to work together to bring their team to victory.

Olivier’s life was great until Gavin joined the team. He’s a veteran on the field but a giant grump off it. So Oliver is committed to killing him with kindness.

Coach has one job, to unify the pair or say goodbye to the title. What she didn’t see coming was making nice opened their friendship up to something more when feelings and attraction takes over.

This was cute I loved the dynamic between Oliver and Gavin. Enemies to lovers, mental health, chronic illness, grumpy sunshine with an age gap. Not my favourite of the Bergman brothers but still a great read. Onto the next one!

i REALLY liked this!! i remember reading the first book in this series a while ago and i thought it was cute, but i don't think i liked it as much as i did this one. i think it's clear that the author has developed! some things that i remember thinking weren't quite as snappy as i maybe would have liked have been ironed out BUT...I do remember really liking her characters & i really liked them here too.

i also looved that the conflict made sense, seemed natural, and was clearly there throughout. i loved oliver! i loved gavin! i thought they were fun and funny & this was a nice read which made me smile a lot. it really cheered me up when i've been feeling soo ill. also, i jsut really like reading stuff about sports like this. IT WAS SO CHARMING.

This was a slow burn, most of the spicy content is after the 80% of the book, so steady yourselves. However if you are a Roy-Kent-Stern-Brunch-Daddy-lovin’ soccer fanatic, you will endure.

Cute, hot, queer, thoughtful.
I’m just mad my family is not the Bergmans.

Leí este libro en un día? Si. But it might be my favorite one from the whole series. Como amo a los Bergman siblings gosh

Reread 1/1-1/3/23: 5 stars just as amazing the second time around! This book is elite this series is amazing and Chloe is honestly one of my favorite authors

Initial review and read 5/16- 5/18/22: 5 stars!!! This was so stinking good I absolutely loved it! Chloe is definitely one of my favorite authors and this is my second favorite book of hers. It’s just excellent. The perfect version of MM grumpy sunshine and ELITE sick-comfort taking care of trope

Also Chloe writes about pain so beautifully every time I read her characters who live with chronic pain at least one line makes me lay day the book and pause. She makes me feel seen and understand. In this one she talks about giving and receiving comfort through pain and I about cried.

“Pain is part of you, but it’s not all of you. You’re hurting and you’re here, and I am too”
