Would be good to pair with Jess Keating's book--same big idea, different organizational choices. This one is a bit more accessible for younger readers.

Interesting animals presented with intriguing photographs and descriptions. The photography was inconsistent: some animals had head-on shots that put you face-to-face with them, and some photos were hyper-clear. The narwhals got the short end of the stick -- slightly blurry and too much distance. The text was presented clearly and each animal got a brief tagline followed by just a little more information. Backmatter included even more on each animal including geographic location.

A delightful teaser of a book, that had my kids peeking over my shoulder going, "what's that?!" and I can imagine kids exploring some of these animals after finishing this.
