I could live in the Narrows. The backstory of Paj and Auster is such a sweet prequel to Fable and Namesake. It is also a great appetizer before The Last Legacy comes out next week. Now I will just sit and pine for Saint's story.

I was lucky enough to get my hands on this novella because I’m subscribed to the author’s newsletter where she lovingly shared this for free! This story gives fans of the Fable duology a backstory for the relationship between Paj and Auster, two of the lovable side characters. I love the world Adrienne Young created in Fable and Namesake so it was great to return to that world again with the bonus of getting a peek into the Roth crime family who are the stars of her latest book, The Last Legacy. This novella is a quick read that keeps you on your toes as Auster navigates both the dangers of being a Roth and his new relationship with Paj.
