This book was okay. After reading this and the last book in the series I really believe the magic of the first was a one off. The second two came nowhere close to being as good as the first. Despite this being short, it took me a long time to get through, I had a hard time keeping my attention on it. The story was good, the journey through Ireland and the important places was nice to learn about. I liked Rowans character a lot, but there was no love in this story except friendship and family love. Addie was okay but annoying, there was too much yelling and screaming, bickering with Ian over the same thing over and over. I understand the reveal at the end and I loved how everyone supported Addie, but it dragged out a bit too long.

I might have liked this one even more than Love and Gelato. I love a love story with a road trip / travel backdrop. The descriptions of Ireland were great. The characters really tug at your heart strings. I liked the sibling dynamics and the love story was very sweet.

I definitely had high expectations for this book given how good the first one was. And while it wasn't exactly as good it was still so good! The sibling dynamics in this book are incredible and I love how the main character in this book is Lina's best friend.

While this book was entertaining and I am glad that I read it, I did not like it as much as Love & Gelato. I liked the sibling dynamic within Addie's family, but I did not like the writing as much as the author's other book. I particularly disliked the guidebook aspect, and ended up skipping all of the passage excerpts because it annoyed me so much. Even though it was supposed to be decently significant to the book, I think that the whole thing would have happened without it just fine and with minimal changes and would have made the story more streamlined and been able to be more immersive.
