A beautiful, deeply passionate collection of poetry that I have a sneaking suspicion I'm just not smart enough to comprehend fully. For that reason, I give it a 3.75. Some of my favorite lines;
He dies at the party where everyone laughs and all you want to do is go into the kitchen and make seven omelets before burning down the house. (pg 40)
Maybe we pray on our knees because god only listens when we're this close to the devil (49)
Don't be afraid, the gunfire is only the sound of people trying to live a little longer and failing. (82)
and so what if my feathers are burning, I never asked for flight. (84)
