I felt this was going to be a little predictable when I read the first few chapters, but I was wrong! The character development was great and I enjoyed the political complexities alongside the romance. Would absolutely read the next one!

May pick up again; right now I'm in no mood for someone willingly letting someone he believes to be less privileged than him to bear bad consequences that he could face. Not cool, Penn. I'm not wild about this much lying between the main characters. I feel like the author is trying to make it comparable between Raff and Penn, but it really isn't.

I really really wanted to like this book. It was such a cool concept- but unfortunately I just couldn’t get into it!
I tried on and off for a while, but just made no progress!
I’ll probably circle back and try again at a later date- but for now this just isn’t for me!
