I liked the book but I felt like it didn't fit in with the rest of the series. Book 5 was more of an ending for all the characters in the Wait for You world.
Brock and Jillian were cool but I didn't have as much of a connection to them, and the book was shorter than the rest meaning that I never got the chance to get as invested in them as I would have liked.

Vertrouw op Mij las ik in een dag uit. Zoals gewoonlijk bij de boeken van Armentrout vlieg je door het verhaal heen. Ik had verwacht dat ik dit boek minder zou vinden omdat Brock mij totaal niet trok in voorgaande boeken. Niets bleek minder waar. Want ik heb genoten van Vertrouw op Mij. Het is een mooi verhaal met persoonlijke groei, vooral in Jillians geval. Ook is het leuk dat we wederom een blik konden werpen op de levens van de personages uit voorgaande boeken. Al was het wel even wennen dat we met Vertrouw op Mij opeens een paar jaar vooruit in de tijd gaan. Er zijn kinderen bijgekomen, mensen getrouwd. Er is aangekondigd dat dit het laatste boek in deze serie is. En stiekem, vind ik dat best wel jammer.

Jillian and Brock were good characters, I just didn't feel their story.

It didn't inspire any emotion in me.

Jillian's past dominated her present and seemed read like a device plot. At no point in the book was I curious to learn what happened to her.

The best thing about the book was catching up with older couples from previous books in the series.

I don't know why I waited so long to read this book since I've loved this series from the get go, but I'm so happy I finally read it. It had been so long that I had pretty much forgotten all about these characters but once I started reading it came back to me. I loved the story and getting to see so many of those old characters was so much fun. I hope the series isn't over!
