Fire in You by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Lukuinto on palannut ja Fire in You tulikin luettua ripeästi!

Brock and Jillian, well I loved all the couples in the series, they are different and all their stories worth reading, this one is no exception, here we have childhood friends that where more like brother and sister, with her having a huge crush on him, I thought these theme has been written multiple ways, but J Lynn made this story her own and in the best way. It is romantic, it will get into your heart and never leave. Definitely loved every chapter.

Okay, I really, really, reeaallyy wanted to love this more. But second chance love trope isn't always my favourite thing to read about and in this case it just didn't feel as genuine as I had hoped it would. It just fell a little flat for me, the chemistry wasn't there and the tension felt a little forced. BUT... I read this immediately after finishing book 5 in the series, which was superb, so that definitely could have contributed to why this just didn't hit so hard for me!

Why this book received anything more than 1 star Is disturbing. The h. is the Queen of all doormat’s. And the H is scumbag . Can’t believe a female write this crap.

I never thought this day would come, the day I gave a one star rating to one of Jennifer’s books ? Didn’t even thought it was possible for her to write a bad book. But god I couldn’t stand that one. I tried, I really tried to enjoy my reading, to like these characters but they were insufferable, so was the whole book. I love you Jennifer, I do, so I’m going to act like I never read this book and like you never wrote it.

ps : Brock was the worst character I’ve ever encountered… Everything Kristen said was true, he’s a selfish coward who wouldn’t recognize true love if it slapped him in the face.
