There's a quote from this book: "a digital detox is not the solution, for the same reason that wearing a gas mask for two days of the week outside is the answer for pollution." It seems to me that when people think of poor attention, we think of social media and how it affects us, that's certainly what I thought going into this book. However, Johann Hari thoughtfully explains how attention difficulties are the consequences of multiple societal issues. What's happening to our attention is a far more alarming crisis than I ever expected
