I feel like there were still some loose ends at the end of this book. Was everything settled with Molly's grandmother's estate? I thought the will was being contested. I would have liked to seen Molly's cousins really get shafted. There was no repercussions to their horrible treatment of Molly.

I really enjoyed the characters in this book.

So I MIGHT have stayed up well past my bedtime last night to finish the book. I knew I should have stopped and gone to bed at 11, but by 12:30am there was NO WAY I wasn't going to find out how everything ended up. There were definitely little twists and turns. And come on Deacon is HOT!! Seeing how he developed and what events occurred in his life made him a more likeable person. Of course we all wanted to see him win Molly once and for all. Now I can't wait to see what happens next.

Wow, I really liked Deacon and Molly together. I wasn't sure how their story was going to unfold, but the chemistry between them has been there since the very beginning.

Deacon's past was much more heart wrenching than I was expecting. I love that Molly turned out to be just what he needed.

Ronin's help in their relationship was pretty funny. It's amazing how awesome he is a most stuff, but his personal input seems to always backfire on him.

I loved the glimpse into married life with Knox and Shiori with the baby.

Caged is the 4th book in the Mastered Series and I have throughly enjoyed the entire series.  Lorelei James is a master of the alpha male and exceptionally strong female leads as well.  Deacon and Molly do not disappoint.  I have enjoyed these two since we were first introduced in Bound (Mastered #1).  Deacon is an instructor at Black Arts and a MMA fighter.  Molly is a well educated, thoughtful, sweet person who was attacked and signed up for kickboxing to fight back against the fear that was choking her.  Deacon is tough on her when they met in Bound but it is just what Molly needs to face her fears.

When we start Caged, the entire Black Arts crew has changed and evolved over the 4 books.  Deacon is no longer teacher kickboxing.  Molly has battled through her fears from the attack, is in fantastic shape, and the heat between her and Deacon has been slowburning for awhile.  Deacon even goes so far as to ask her out but stands her up.  Molly says she is through with Deacon but she can't get him out of her mind.  Deacon has never explained why he stood her up and he can't get Molly out of his mind either.

Molly and Deacon constantly bicker and go back and forth.  They both are damaged from their pasts.  Their back stories make this book fly by. I loved seeing Deacon's sweet side especially since he is alpha to the core.  The way he takes care of Molly and encourages and builds her up is beautiful.  Every girl wants a guy who is capable of taking care of them both emotionally and physically.  The true surprise was the unraveling of Deacon's past. I honestly didn't expect some of the plot twists in his story and I loved reading it.

If you haven't read the other books in this series, I would recommend picking those up first.  You can read this as a stand alone but you need to meet all the characters from the other books first.  This is an easy world to get caught up in.  Lorelei James is a master at world building and I thoroughly enjoyed all the Mastered Series.

2.5. The story goes by quick, but Deacon’s too much of a possessive asshole high on toxic masculinity for my taste. He immediately Frenchs Molly whenever he sees her as if marking his property and is rude to everyone who’s not her. He threatens to beat up every guy who even looks her way, and can’t bear to be apart from her for one minute (save for the unnecessarily tacked on family drama in the last few chapters). Then he forcefully vows he wouldn’t ever allow himself and Molly to break up whenever they have a disagreement. I mean, can you say, “potential abuser”?

And sure, he’s had a tough life, but the love of one woman will mend his broken spirit? Please...

Honestly this is my fav so far in the whole Mastered Series.
1. Because Molly is such an inspiration in wanting to be a better person by becoming stronger after going through her issues. Even with her insecurities, she grew so much through this book. Not only because Deacon showed how much it means to have someone who loves you beside you but how far she can on her own by becoming more confident in herself.
2. Yes, Deacon is a d*ck but it’s a fault I grew to love for some reason. There are many people who are rude to be rude but Deacon knew his arrogance and knew his weaknesses. His only problem, not really knowing how to fix his bluntness and arrogance in a relationship instead of doing it solo all the time. He had to slowly change his approach as he realized Molly wasn’t going to take his shit.
3. Their relationship grew over time, even if 2 months is short for dating, they still didn’t jump into something too fast. Deacon had his reasons and so did Molly. It was satisfying knowing they thought a couple things through before just being completely sexually attracted to each other.

And overall the story was nice as we got to know more about their back stories and how they came together not knowing how similar their backgrounds were. They had each other’s backs, even with their faults, and it didn’t take long for them to realize their mistakes.

I loved the beginning of this book.
SpoilerWhen Molly and Deacon started reading that erotica together... oh yeah. And that pinball scene... mmhmm.
But the things I loved about their relationship (particularly the freshness of it all) sort of leveled out after a while. Also, it sort of just... ended. I wanted to know the outcome of that fight, damn it!
SpoilerAnd what about Maddox and Presly? I want to know. Please.
All in all, this wasn't my favorite book of the series (Shiori and Knox definitely win that right in my mind). Still, I hope to see another one in this series, although I don't think it's going to happen at this point if it hasn't already.

This was another good one in The Mastered series. Deacon was.. uh.. *fans self* definitely swoon-worthy.
