Before I Go to Sleep

Though the writing seemed a bit redundant, I loved the climax. The narrative gets boring at times but the last 30 or so pages redeem the story. Well, the ending was a cliché but what happened before the actual ending was quite shocking. Good one.

Loved it. After being in a book slump and half heartedly reading a few books, this is just what I needed to renew my love in reading.

Interestly written, really didn't know what was going to happen until a few pages from the end. Equally loved, and frustrated by the end. Feelings that are only provoked from a great book.

One of those books you just can't put down, even when you think you have it all figured out

2017 Popsugar Reading Challenge
*a book with an unreliable main character*

Each day Christine wakes up with no memory after her "accident". She begins a journal to help her remember, if only by reading about her life, and discovers her life prior to the accident.

Top 10 list worthy.

If you like psychological thrillers you need to read this book.

Many times while reading this book I found myself asking the same questions as Chrissy. “What’s the truth?” “Who am I?” “Who is he?” “Who can I trust?”
The journal entry style was amazing. And I feel as though I know Christine just as I know my best friend.

Find your Claire.

SPOILER!!

I think if i liked mysteries i might have liked this, but it seemed a little Too easy to figure out - a soon as it is known that she had an affair i knew. On a positive note there were some real red herrings that were interesting- makig out with the doctor! - and i did like that the characters are imperfect- chris, claire, the real Ben... . Maybe I would have liked it more if I hadn't read other books like this- books with an amnesiac who has a working memory of one day - as a device i'm bored. And I find it hard to believe , which makes it hard to get into.
The author almost always uses the f- word instead of saying 'sex' and it sounded really forced and unnatural every time... POV is a woman and I wonder if S J Watson is a man?
slow-paced

DID NOT FINISH: 20%

the most "men writing women" book ever

A swift and engaging read. Very enjoyable.

This book was hard to put down because I wanted so badly to find out the conclusion. I did find parts of it to be repetitive which is one of my main reasons for 3 stars. I wanted a bit more from the ending. I thought there was a lot of build up to it and I think even just 10 pages more would've sufficed.
