As always... this is a great read. The introduction of The Community is great.

I have officially lapped the tv series. Kind of apprehensive about reading further because I want to be a little surprised when TWD returns, but at the same time, what a cliffhanger!! I wanna knooooooowwwwwww

Awesome, as usual. The character progression is what I'm most interested in, and I think this volume does a really good job checking in with each respective person in the main cast. Some pretty heavy stuff in this volume, for sure.

This series draws you in and really brings it's characters to life.

This part of the series is no exception. Rick and his band of survivors come across another group that has found a much different way to survive in this scarce environment. It would be easy and understandable to go down to the basest elements when put in such a world like this new group has. Rick and Abraham do not buy the excuse of mere survival and still cling to a sense of right and wrong. Though they may even cross their own lines in dealing with this group. The mental stress of what they have to do wears on all of them.

Some may say that for a zombie comic this book has very few zombies. Truth is those people read for the wrong reasons. This is not a gore book or even an action book really. It is a character study and Kirkman creates characters that stick with you and puts them in situations that make you question your own faith and morality. This was a great story from the first issue but what makes Kirkman a great writer is that I care in issue 72 far more than I did in issue 1. Out of 70+ issues there has maybe been a handful of single issues that I felt were off or just not up to par. That is a pretty good success rate and it will keep me reading his books for years to come.

As always another great installment in the Walking Dead franchise. Just when we think all help is lost things appear to be on the up and up... appear.... Dark and gritty yet masterfully crafted, this book will have you questioning human nature and what separates humans from the monsters... clearly not our humanity.

I can't wait for this show to catch up, this comic was destined to be an amazing television show.

this book was pretty good. im enjoying reading along with the show. i dont know if its just me but i found it hard to tell who was who in this volume. some of the characters look alike & it can be difficult to tell them apart with no color.

I keep thinking/saying that the last book is my favorite, but this one is BY FAR my favorite. I cannot wait to read the next one.

Book 5 (Volumes 9 and 10) was a bit slow going, which makes sense given the utter craziness of Volume 8. But this book, which collects Volumes 11 and 12 really puts the story back on track, to its edge-of-your-seat dread-filled bleakness. Can't wait to continue.

Hunters, killer Carl, and suburbia.
Beginning with the most relatable cannibals you’ve ever met, then ending with Rick and the gang finding an oasis that they’ll either find the horrible secret to or destroy on their own.
