We love a book where characters discover therapy!
So I forgot until the second chapter that I actually read A Lot Like Adios first. I connected to that one more, but I still loved Jasmine's character journey (and consensual makeouts assisted by the intimacy coordinator's advice

The entire book I was wishing it was 1st person dual POV bc it would have made it 10x much better, I noticed with 3rd person I don’t really feel as connected to the characters I am not sure if that’s just me. It is entertaining and a fun story I was intrigued but it did feel rushed at the end/ the conflict went on for a bit long/ it also was super predictable and it being 3rd person ruined it for me.

i wasnt the biggest fan of their miscommunication but as a fellow latina the over reaction is warranted
anyways if you grew up watching william levy, you’ll enjoy

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t love this book. I love the representation of LatinX characters ! The portrayal of love, family, desire and passion. While yes, you probably can guess the plot, I still loved it! The story was sexy, beautiful and so fun. I’m actually so glad that I decided to read this book to the point that I would love a sequel !!! I love how we got an insight into the world of fame and filming and I loved being able to read the episodes as the characters did them and I’m actually so obsessed with this book from the characters to the plot, to the intricate details about culture, pride in our culture and the importance of family.

I wish I had liked this novel more. I made it about 60% but there wasn’t much to keep me interested. I could see where the story was going and what conflicts were up ahead. Since I didn’t actually read it, of course, it might have turned out differently that what I anticipated, but the story thus far wasn’t compelling enough for me to struggle through it.

Glad that's over. This is my second time reading this book and I remember liking it but I cannot say the same this time. Maybe I'm in a bad mood, maybe my taste is different now and I hate to seem mean but this was...not good. Like I was trying to think of what I liked...maybe the FMC but I feel like she and the MMC could've been better developed because I didn't care all that much about either of them or their arcs and it made the emotional and sex scenes not good at all. I either was getting whiplash or was very unconvinced. I also needed Jasmine to ask Ashton wtf he was talking too at times. He wouldn't have been getting any of this [redacted] talking to me like that. I could feel for him and his need for privacy but that part of his storyline was also resolved a bit too quickly after it was brought up. I need some contemporary romance authors to implement some pacing, no way you're traditionally published moving this fast to the point where it feels inauthentic. Like again I was either very bored or very annoyed but I was kind of wanting to finish it cause I was sure I'd like something but no. Even the dialogue and speaking was a bit awkward at times. I personally don't want to rate it so low but nothing really stands out as being enjoyable so
