It was a good book. I enjoyed the reader got both perspectives from the MFC and MMC.

An easy read, mostly fun. I just felt the character development was a bit lacking and I did not feel super invested in their story.

This book was HOT. I never thought I’d learn so many Spanish swear words and get such a raunchy story from this - but it was an easy read and I enjoyed all the characters. It’s definitely a great extension for Jane the Virgin fans.

I thoroughly enjoyed all of the LatinX representation in this book. Especially how Spanish phrases and verbiage were sprinkled in throughout the dialogue.

I also appreciated that Jasmine and Ashton had close relationships with their families and we saw that in action quite often.

However, I did not like how scenes from the television show Jasmine and Ashton are starring in were written into the story. Instead of those chapters being just quick recaps of what they were shooting or dialogue only from the scenes, we would get the "characters" actually thoughts and explanations. This really took me out of Ashton and Jasmine's love affair. It felt unnecessary and like my time was being split between two couples.

Ashton also really irked me at the end. I understand his reasoning for wanting to keep his son safe, but Ashton is a celebrity. It is difficult to keep things a secret, especially an entire human being. I was also extremely upset with the things he said to Jasmine. I get it, he was hurt and frustrated, but that is no excuse for being mean. And there was absolutely no groveling from this man.

It was very soapy, but I loved the cultural diversity.
