Opal is an artist who hasn’t quite figured out where she will do her art… and what she wants her life to look like. But her “friend” gives her scratch tickets for her birthday and suddenly she has the money to make a change.
Except… when she arrives at the flower farm she’s just bought, she meets Pepper who lives and works there - and had no idea about some sale.

This book is cute. I did feel like a whole lot happened simply because “of course that would happen, it’s a romance book.” Like took “do it for the plot” to the extreme. But there were a few moments that turned out a bit different than expected. Sapphic romance isn’t my usual genre, but I love how bookclub pushes my comfort zone. Unlike the last few books I have struggled to get through for bookclub, I read this one easily in a day!

Mazey Eddings is always a must read for me. I felt like this book had so much potential and I wanted to love it so much. It just sort of fell flat for me.

I love Mazey's writing style and her flair for representation. I just felt myself frustrated with both FMC's. I also felt like there was no "big event" so to speak. I will definitely rec this book  as far as diversity goes for sure, but I definitely feel like there was a lot of missed potential.

I truly felt immersed into the flower farm - this was amazing, I felt as though I could almost smell, the flowers and see their vividness. The rest was just sort of bland and full of the same misunderstandings over and over. The story just felt as though it was carrying on because it had to.

This is a very low angst, low conflict story, definitely a fluffy comfort read - its very different from Mazey's other gripping stories to me.

Thank you to NetGalley and St.Martins Press (St.Martins Griffin) for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Grumpy x sunshine sapphic romance? I'm so here for it! Mazey Eddings always leaves no crumbs and I'm so excited for the world to read this. The plot twists were so good and the angst was PERFECT. You would've 100% caught me giggling and crying about this book in the span of 10 minutes.

thank you to NetGalley for giving me the ARC of this book!
