Another book I was really looking forward that sadly didn't live up to my expectations. The middle dragged horribly. I didn't really connect with the characters that much and I got really sick of Lovingdon's denial.
I understand his reasons but JFC, 70% in and we still have to pretend you don't love her?
I rushed through the sex scenes. They just didn't captivate me.

The writing lacked charm in my opinion. A few instances of showing vs telling jarred me. Almost as if the author didn't trust the readers to understand the character's feelings or intentions unless it was spelled out to them.

It did have its sweet moments.
Like how Lovingdon accepted Grace's scars. How he kissed and worshiped them.
That moment made me forget how much he annoyed me at times and made me fall a little bit for him.

Overall, an ok albeit slightly lackluster read.

I have no idea when I actually read this book, but Lovingdon and Grace are not characters you forget. I loved this book!
