Sesuai judulnya, buku ini memang berisikan catatan keseharian Kim Byeong-su sebagai mantan pembunuh. Kim Byeong-su mengidap penyakit demensia sehingga dia memutuskan untuk mencatat semua kejadian yang terjadi pada dirinya untuk membantunya mengingat. Jadi narasi buku ini ya seperti catatan harian pada umumnya, dan mungkin akan terlihat sangat membingungkan karena catatan harian yang dia tulis beberapa tidak berhubungan satu sama lain.
Aku sebagai pembaca awal-awal sulit memahami maksud dari ceritanya apa. Aku pun tidak mengharapkan sesuatu yang lebih dari buku ini karena halamannya yang sangat sedikit. Tetapi aku salah kira, ternyata buku dengan halaman sedikit ini terdapat beberapa plot twist yang mengejutkan.
Disisi lain diksi dalam puisi di buku ini sangat indah sekaligus mempunyai makna yang mendalam. Sangat tragis melihat Kim Byeong-su menghadapi penyakitnya itu, bahkan dia sampai tidak bisa membedakan antara imajinasi dan kenyataan.
Walaupun buku ini sangat tipis tetapi cerita di dalamnya menurutku seru. Bisa dibaca sekali duduk. Konflik yang ada tidak terlalu rumit, dan bahasanya juga mudah dipahami.

این کتاب رو به پیشنهاد دوستم ساغر از باغ کتاب ملک به امانت گرفتم.
دیشب شروعش کردم و در یک نشست ۷۹ صفحهاش رو خوندم، انقدر خوابم میومد که از چشمام اشک میومد وگرنه بیدار میموندم و تمومش میکردم.
کل کتاب رو توی چند ساعت خوندم و فکر میکنم که اولین کتاب ادبیات کره بود که میخوندم.
داستان کتاب راجعبه یک قاتل زنجیرهای که نزدیک به ۲۵ ساله که دیگه آدم نکشته. حالا توی ۷۰ سالگی به آلزایمر مبتلا شده و تمام فکر و ذکرش اینهکه از دخترش محافظت کنه. دخترش با مردی در ارتباطه که به باور شخصیت اصلی کتاب، آدم درستی برای دخترش نیست. به همین دلیل برنامه داره دوست دخترش رو بکشه و از دخترش محافظت کنه. اما برنامهریزی برای کشتن یک آدم اون هم موقعی که هر مرتبه که میبینیش، یادت میره قبلا دیدیش، کار سختیه نه؟
کتاب واقعا خیلی نوشتار گیرایی داشت. داستان در قالب نوشتههای جستهگریختهی یک پیرمرد آلزایمری بیان میشند، یادداشتهایی که توی اونها میتونید به خوبی درک کنید ذهنش چجوری داره رو به زوال میره.
عقاید و دیدگاههای جالبی نسبت به زندگی بیان شدن توی این کتاب که واقعا تفکربرانگیز بودند.
شخصیت پردازیها خوب بود، فضاسازی خیلی قوی بود، نوولای کوتاهی بود که خوندنش لذتبخش بود و سریع پیش رفت، بار جنایی معمایی داستان خیلی خوب هندل شده بود، قلم نویسنده دلنشین بود، ترجمه خوب بود، موضوع کلی با اینکه جدید نبود، واقعا جذاب بود و به شخصه من رو جذب کرد.
"شاید مرگ هم نوشیدنیِ سنگینی است که کمک میکند شب کسالتآوری را، که همان زندگیمان باشد، از یاد ببریم."
واقعا جملات خیلی تفکربرانگیز و عمیقی داشت ، بینش شخصیت اصلی کتاب خیلی جالب بود. خیلی لذت بردم. تمرکزش بیشتر بر زوالپذیر بودن همهچیز در این دنیا بود.
اگر این کتاب رو دوست داشتید سریال persona رو هم حتما ببینید. موضوعش دقیقا مشابه اینه. پیرمردی که سابقا در دادگستری کار میکرده و وقتی به آلزایمر مبتلا میشه تصمیم میگیره تمام پروندههایی که مجرم به سزای اعمالش نرسیده رو خودش پیگیری کنه و مجرمهارو بکشه.

The mind of the 4 people in the 4 stories ist portraied rather fascinating but also very confusing. In the end the stories end waay diffrent then one would imagine at the start. But overall I don't really get what I wants to say? What ist the point if it? Is it just telling how minds of different people look like?
I don't think I fully understood that book, but I'm certain that I will think about the stories from time to time - they are of the kind where you just randomly in you day to day live think about them.
