Wonderful continuation, I loved seeing the catch up details for those that might not start with the first book. Really helps students be able to know what is going on without having to read every book.

The book is an interesting read and young reader will find it adventurous and maybe even little bit scary due to magical and fearsome creatures in the story. Overall the second book of "The Spiderwick Chronicles" is a decent read and can be read in one sitting if you like fantasy based novel.
