If you're looking for an antidote to depressing real-world news and views, Susan Tepper's sexy, sensual "Monte Carlo Days & Nights" is just the ticket. A throwback to that bygone era of fashionable flight attendants, wealthy elite sunbathing nude on the French Riviera, and all the glitz and glamour of Grace Kelly marrying Prince Ranier III, Tepper's stories are deftly spun from just the mixture of gossamer and gauze. Taking the POV of the fashionable flight attendant on vacation in the lap of luxury, each tale explores the gaps between men and women, locals and visitors, and the 1% vs. the rest of us in a gentle tug of war. Watching the power shift subtly through each chapter, like the ever-changing tides, readers will be fascinated by her characters and vignettes. A sleek page-turner that's dressed to impress.
Full disclosure: I am friends with this author, and have included this book on my "writer friends" shelf.
