Well, I’m biased, because (as a Philadelphia Flyers fan) I am connecting some dots. But this book is genuinely such a fun time I think it holds up even beyond that :)

This book was good, but really struggled with the pacing for it to only be 250 pages. The beginning started kinda slowly, only for the end of the book to wrap up pretty abruptly. With the way Spencer's previous migraines get discussed, it made me believe that they would play a part in this story so it was odd to see nothing really come of that plotline. This was a cute single parent x teacher, hockey, grumpy/sunshine story, my only wish was that it was slightly longer so it could have come together a little smoother

MM - contemporary romance - white MCs - high steam - pov third single - celebrity - class gap (wealthy MMC) - closeted - chronic illness (migraines) - grumpy/sunshine - single parent - sports (hockey) - third act external - 4 stars.

I loved the voice of this book. It was very funny and I especially loved Zeke but I did not love Spencer. Part of that was that we never get to know him super well or get inside his head and he came off as kind of mean sometimes. I just didn’t love the single pov and I wonder if I’m becoming one of those people who cares about it! 😂
