This is a story of a woman who became a canvas. Didion is a master at pinpointing the specific deep, unspoken feeling behind mundane situations and translating that into the written word. It’s all very painful.

Still partially indecisive on how I feel. If I could, I would give it a solid 3.5/5. The chapter detailing the abortion was horrendous to read, but necessary.

So precisely devastating. I returned this to the library as soon as i finished it so I wouldn’t have to sit with my feelings 😍
