A raw and honest glimpse of Jill’s life during and after her time on the show. As someone who watched the documentaries, 19 Kids and Counting, and Shiny Happy People, I was already familiar with most of the events but appreciated seeing things told from Jill’s perspective. Kudos to Jill for being so transparent about the trauma she went through and I hope she’s been able to heal.

I have no words after reading this book. I watched the Duggar Family on TLC many times as a "guilty pleasure" show as a kid and now as an adult, I am going to re-watch the show to understand more since reading this book. The entire time reading this memoir, I was in awe and I also felt for not only Jill but other Duggar family members as well. I am blown away by what really was happening and how it all transpired. I feel that Jill finally got her freedom from the IBLP at the end and started to focus more on her self. Sometimes while reading this I was in such disbelief that I shared it with my mom, who would watch the show with me. 10 stars!

Jim Bob the "good Christian" is not so charitable where money is involved. He cheated his kids out of money. Lied to the family accountant. Repeatedly dodged Jill when she asked to see the contract with TLC. Continued to sell out his family's intimate moments to the tabloids ($$). Total snake.

Meanwhile poor Michelle is buying the kids clothes at thrift stores and Jim Bob has multiple airplanes. WTF.
