A lovely, petite heart-warming story to feel the Christmas spirit to the cores of your body. A couple’s love and sacrifice on Christmas Eve to make each other happy, only to realize what really matters in life. Neat story, nice touch, great turn of events and a cozy little story of something magnificent: Love.
I went to a Jewish school until high school. Then, in my first semester of public school my Honors English teacher asked me what three gifts the magi brought to baby Jesus. When I didn't know, she got really annoyed and then asked the Hindu girl. (Who also didn't know.)
In conclusion, I hold a deep grudge against this story.

I read these as a teenager and thought they were great fun. My favorites were from the collection "The Four Million", but "The Cisco Kid" is a very clever, cynical thriller.
I love this story. I hate this story. I always leave this story thinking, "What a waste!" It makes me sad rather than making me think how giving the other is. This version is beautifully illustrated, though.
