Reading these books as an adult drains the childhood magic quickly. The fatphobia alone was enough for me to stop and decide it isn’t something I want my daughter exposed to.
I knew this series was different from the movies but I didn't expect it to be better than the movies. There is so much more detail and involvement from other characters.
