What a fun, lighthearted romp through a mystery! This is a cozy, and while it has a love triangle of sorts I wouldn't call it a romance. It's a cozy mystery with romantic elements. I love the protagonist. Her life falls apart and she scoops it up in her arms and keeps running. But she's not the kick ass sort of heroine, she's the every girl sort of heroine. She's you and me. With hot men after her. What's not to like about that?

I thoroughly enjoyed this. I found the voice refreshing and fun. The mystery is very, very simple. I kept expecting a major twist but there wasn't one. Read this when it's rainy out or you just want to escape for a couple of hours. No deep thinking involved, just a pleasant giggle (there's a lot of humor in here) and a fast read. If you're looking for super steamy scenes this is not for you. This is a hint and fade to black sort of book. No paranormal stuff at all.

Can't wait to read the next one!

Loved this book. Made me actually laugh out loud. Addison is hilarious and Hart has biting wit to her word. Looking forward to getting the others in this series.

First Thought when Finished: Another fun ride! I am so sad that there are only 2 books in this series so far :(

Story Thoughts: Whiskey Sour is one of those books that was made for ice tea and summer porches. Addison Holmes (not quite PI) is working in surveillance for her best friend's PI firm. It makes for some seriously fun times since she is not exactly trained for this kind of work. What I like best about these stories is that Liliana never tries to make Addison more clever, skilled, or stealthy than she is so you can get lost in the shenanigans without going "OH PLEASE". This time that includes an escort agency, a waxing incident, and a movie experience we can all identify with (if you have a heart LOL). In other words, some truly fun capers (with hot men) that just make you bubble over in laughter.

Character Thoughts: Addison Holmes is a hot mess but one that is trying desperately to get her life together. I think she grew a LOT in Whiskey Sour and that made me love her more. Her love life is a mess and I was worried we were venturing into love triangle territory for a minute. However, one of the growth things Addison tackled was staying true to herself. YEAH! I love Addison's friends! They really are great Yin/Yangs for her. Her best friend (Kate) is her anchor and I adore her. Kate had some stuff to deal with during the story and their friendship was beautiful to watch. They supported each other even though I am pretty sure they both think the Twinkies were a bad idea :) The characters really do shine and make you smile about every other page!

Audio Thoughts:
Narrated By Connie Ventress / Length: 7 hrs and 16 mins

Connie is such a fun narrator for this series. She pretty much nails Addison in pacing, emotion, and sarcasm (yes I went there). I think she adds a little extra something that makes you laugh a little harder at Addison's shenanigans. Not as big a fan of the voices for the men but they are easy to get used too. Overall, if the series continues then I will be getting it on audio!

Final Thoughts: This is just a fun mystery that had me rolling in laughter!

These books are set up similar to other books of it kind such as Stephanie Plum. They are quick reads that make me laugh. Audio: I am not sure I like the southern accent the narrator uses.

Wow!
Needless to say I love your books. I mow right through loving each and every character. I love the now triangle with Savage, Nick, & Addison. I cannot stress to you how I cannot wait for more of Addison, not to mention the J. J. Graves series- oh wait the MacKenzie men, too. Okay, more of your books to purchase and read.

Thank for giving me such great things to read and disappear within!!!
