So, I’ve finally sat down to read Throne of Glass, and honestly I was a bit underwhelmed. I’m really glad I’ve had multiple people tell me that you do need to push through the first book. 

On the surface, it has a lot of what I really enjoy in a YA fantasy: 

·       Strong FMC (although I’d question that at times) 

·       A solid if a bit predictable plot line 

·       Trials (but seriously, those were the trials?!) 

The last 75 pages though were great. And I’ll definitely be continuing.

rereading throne of glass is such a gift because I’m noticing things that I never noticed before. I love this story, I love these characters.
