ONE GREEK SUMMER

I picked this up recently feeling the urge to travel but stay on my couch. Why not summer in Greece through the pages of a book.

ONE GREEK SUMMER by Kate Frost is about one woman’s journey abroad to reconcile her tumultuous relationship with her mother and maybe relax, resolve her wanderlust and maybe figure out her life.

One could only hope.

I think this book will appeal to a younger audience. Perhaps a reader looking to explore themselves as much as Greece.

For me, it lacked a little depth and excitement. The love story was a bit odd being both exploratory and timid. And I wanted the character to grow up a bit.

Overall, I think it would make a light and breezy, beach read perfect for enjoying with a glass of something age-appropriate.

Thanks to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for this advanced copy!

This is my first book by Kate Frost, and surely, it won't be my last! I thoroughly enjoyed reading One Greek Summer. I can easily see myself revisiting Adonis and Harlow’s story over and over again. I love the discourses of media representation. if you have watched Mamma Mia, you will see many references on this book from the film. For what it's worth, I would recommend this book because I do think it’s worth picking up and giving it a try.

I loved this book, it was the perfect read for when I was in a slump. Harlow is lovable as a character and the way Kate Frost (our author) describes the scenery makes me wish I was stuck in Greece for the summer. Kate Frost also is able to talk about situations involving being a woman in a male dominated industry super well and was a great part of the plot.
