Perfect Sinner
The O'Malley Family (Mafia Wars, Book 7)
By: Maggie Cole
Narrated by: Tim Paige, Avery Reid

These Mafia Wars. Do I need to say more? Maggie Cole keeps the suspense high and the romance hot in her series and it just keeps getting better. These Irish men are swoon worthy! Gemma is in danger. Her half sister is out to get her to marry the man her father has chosen for her. Nolan has made himself her protector despite she has the blood of his arch enemies running through her. But just how far will he go to keep her safe? The chemistry is evident and Gemma is a handful! Cole masterfully has written this series keeping all the players in place, with the series not only flowing at the same timeline, but slowly going forward. We are treated to the O'Malley/Bailey feud and it's action packed, suspenseful and at times cringe worthy. But that is what I love! I could not stop listening. Between the heat building with Gemma and Nolan, and the danger lurking, the story is impossible to stop listening to. And the build up for the next book is just keeping me on edge! This series is fantastic and if you love romantic suspense, you too will love it!

Tim Paige and Avery Reid tell us this story and they are amazing. Nolan is tough but has a heart and Paige knows exactly how to give both to us. Gemma is a little high strung(for good reason), and Reid gives her that nervous edge, and brings her down with a calming effect around Nolan. Perfect! These two are wonderful together and it's a fantastic listen!

4 The timeline seemed off in this book compared to the last. A lot of chapters stated it was several months later making this book about 3 years long when it should of been only a few months in total. That threw me off the storyline. Nolan was the perfect sinner, well titled book. The characters are so realistically flawed that I can’t stop reading this series. One of my favourites.

Perfect Sinner by Maggie Cole is an enemies to lovers dark mafia romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Tim Paige and Avery Reid. This is the seventh book in the Mafia Wars series. The book can be read as a standalone but the stories are interconnected.

I absolutely love Maggie's books! She does an amazing job pulling me into the story. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Nolan and Gemma. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Brutal Defender to be released on November 1, 2021 so I can get Killian and Arianna's story.

Tim and Avery did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like enemies to lovers romance, dark romances, mafia romances, or romantic suspense.

Nolan + Gemma = Hot

Maggie Cole’s series keeps getting better. She keeps the plot moving and somehow manages to keep nearly all of the characters involved.

Nolan and Gemma’s story is one that takes several twists and turns but they finally get their HEA.

The reason I gave it 4 stars is because I feel like at times Gemma wasn’t behaving like a 36 year old woman. She seemed way to immature. I also understand that the author is doing her best to keep anyone who hasn’t read from the beginning up to speed on what’s already happened in this series but I felt like too much of the book was dedicated to the back story.

Perfect Sinner is the seventh book of the Mafia Wars series but the second book of the O’Malley family. Nolan and Gemma are both strong willed but they love harder together. Their chemistry is HOT HOT HOT! This book is also filled with suspense, action and surprise twists. You do not want to miss reading this book!

   | I saw some books by Miss Cole. I thought why not try one. And I picked up Perfect Sinner. I can say, I am very much disappointed with it.

Nolan is supposed to fearsome hero since he is in mafia. Instead he is a very drama king. His attraction toward Gemma is on and off through out the book. I only being shown insta lust.

While Gemma is more confusing character. She is weak when it comes to her stalker. But she is a bitch when it comes to Molly. The drama with Molly is too much.

Overall, not a good impression.

Perfect Sinner is the seventh installment in the Mafia Wars series and this is Nolan O’Malley’s story and I have been so eager to return to this series ever since the teaser of a cliffhanger in the previous installment, “Unchosen Ruler” where we get Gemma and Nolan’s story. We got so many teasers of this pairing from the previous book as the storyline are mirrors of each other. What I have really liked is how the storylines are mixed in the various installments, so you can easily read them as standalone or even out of order in the sets or order of these books. I knew that going into this book that there would be some delicious angst and lots of fun entanglements and some suspense due to what is happening to Gemma. But I found that Maggie Cole did a superb job in captivating their story so well. I was so intrigued into seeing how these two would work together because they are so opposites of each other but intense circumstances can really shift the priorities and bring the two most unlikely people together. From their first meeting, Gemma and Nolan had a fierce attraction to each other, but then Gemma revealed her true heritage, and as she comes from a family that are bitter enemies with the O’Malley’s, and now Nolan can’t believe Gemma has the same blood as his enemies. But when he realizes that she and her family is in danger and need protection, he will do anything it takes to protect her. Gemma has been tormented for months and it’s wearing on her mental state. She is losing everything that she is, but a love builds between herself and Nolan as the unexpected chemistry builds between them. But their enemy is gunning for them….Will Gemma and Nolan survive the coming tide?

This was a story that I was so eager for and I really had a fun time reading their story. It was so intriguing because you see how well matched they are for each other despite their differences. I really liked seeing the way in which they learned to adapt to living together, and I had a delicious time with these moments of angst that crop up. I was so intrigued from the get-go to seeing Gemma and Nolan learn each other and how they adapted to settle their differences, to what was more important. I also was fascinated by seeing the way Nolan was fighting his desire for Gemma and learned to see the other side to Gemma, the side not many are able to see. On the other side of the story, we have Gemma who has been psychologically tormented and we see the effect that it has had on her both emotionally and mentally. Maggie Cole really capitalized on this so well, and there was such an intense edge to the story that kept me hooked all the way through. I knew that Gemma would be driven to the edge, and we see how that builds into a crescendo and really respected the unique format of the plot that is grown throughout the story. The chemistry between Gemma and Nolan is intense and addictive and It was such a unique experience to see them work through their differences and find common ground and fight for each other.

You wanted to know who you are to me. I’ll tell you. You’re my everything—the woman I want to marry and knock out a dozen Irish babies with. The only woman on earth who can push all my buttons and stand up to me, and I still can’t handle having you out of my eyesight. You may have Bailey blood in you, but you’re the exception to the rule, a miracle among a cesspool of vile human beings. And one other thing, you’re not their princess. You’re my princess. So get it through your head. You belong to me, an O’Malley. Not them

Overall I found Perfect Sinner to be an intensely formed romance that was a battle of adjusting to commonalities, thrilling suspense to keep you on edge, and a passionate romance to leave you breathless!
