loved this duet!
i missed the reality tv bit from the first one, but obvs knew that wouldn’t be in here lol!! enjoyed learning more about her maker and am so obsessed with how good of a brother Ryker is 😭
adventurous dark medium-paced

Ryker and Brynleigh’s story came to the perfect conclusion and no one can tell me any differently.

I loved watching them learn to trust each other again and I enjoyed that it was an “oh I forgive you” two chapters in. They both had to work for it and damn that was nice.

I can’t wait for River’s story next ✨

My onlyyyy hang up was the fact that this was a vampire FMC, and somehow we had to wait until the end of the damn book for any biting spice.

DID NOT FINISH: 54%

Too repetitive. And the FMC started very good but now... At least the far I read she was super strong in the first book and now the MMC gets mad at her and she just, does not argue back?

This is so much better than the first book. Honestly this was probably one of the best handling of a broken relationship that I've seen. Is if still a little unrealistically rush, yes, but you do at least get a proper full arc, some ah ha moments, and just a strong desire to fix it and try to make it better.
The underlying plot is could be stronger, but since the relationship is the main focus, that is understandable. The ending didn't quite go where I wanted it, but honestly I like that because it made it less predictable.
