A very quick read, fun vibes so even though despite all the trigger warnings it’s a light read. Also it’s not omegaverse, just regular old werewolf knotting which pleased me in my reclusive fandomy heart because I do not want that trope to go public! Some bits were predictable, but overall a good read.

The writing was done well, and written for knotting beginners. Not the typical rules for vampires and werewolves which I really liked.

A very classic werewolf/vampire love story, with all your favourite tropes. Ali Hazelwood delivers yet again with another solid romance novel that is lots of fun. The plot is a little rambley and the sometimes overly convoluted but it’s still very enjoyable. I’m looking forward to the next one!

Tropes
- HEA
- fated mates
- marriage of convenience
- third act break up
- single POV (tragically)

I really enjoyed the world building and political intrigue throughout this novel. The slow burn had a satisfying ending and enough twists and turns to keep me on my toes. The conflict seemed to get resolved a little too quickly for the build up, but overall was very enjoyable.

One of the worst books I’ve ever read. The last chapter was a nightmare, should never have been published. Shameful.

Look I'm a sucker for a
fated mates
shifter romance. Was it entirely cheesy? Yes. Was it extremely predictable? Yes. Did I enjoy every second of it? Absolutely!
