DELICIOUS spicy scenes. So close to being a 4-4.5,, the storylines felt a little choppy at the beginning, but did level out. There was a nice twist towards the end. The ending did feel a bit abrupt. I hope author ✍🏼 dives and grows into this writing style. It’s a fun, charming , delectable read .

If you were on ao3 as a teen in 2014 this won’t make you blink.

I cannot stand how naive Ali Hazelwood writes her female characters. The innocent woman trope seems to be her thing and it irritates me so much. Yet I keep reading :)

This has a lot of the classic romance trope stuff with a splash of supernatural. Also a fun amount of investigation and political drama. I thought the language in the 3rd act break up was going to ruin it for me but it didn't in the end. This is a cute book and a really easy read.
