As a fantasy lover and a believer in Ali Hazelwood supremacy, this was such a fun read! You can really tell how important this book was for her, and how much she cares for this genre.

I did really like this book! Ali can write Romantasy as well as she can write Romance. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is cause the story didn’t grab a hold of me as much as her other books. Which might be the book, or it could just be me & my Fae kick, & there was no Fae. 🤷🏻‍♀️ But that being said, this story brought me back to my love of Vampires, I used to be obsessed with them in high school, I’ve gotten more into Fae & whatnot as I got older, but it was like a blast from the past, & I definitely really enjoyed it!!!

I have never before finished an Ali Hazelwood book, so it is truly shocking that I not only finished this. BUT, I finished it in one day AND I liked it a lot!

The writing is much stronger in this book, and her FMC was less whiny/catty than usual.. with a super strong female friendship at play.

The chemistry between the MMC and the FMC was *chefs kiss*.

I love Ali Hazelwood! Her books are always so fun and steamy. I was shocked at first to hear she was tackling paranormal, but I shouldn’t have been. It was a can’t-put-this-down-stay-up-all-night kind of read and I loved it.
