the first T. Kingfisher book I was able to finish. loved the sister-driven plot, loved the eccentric cast. the right amount of wholesome and gruesome.

I loved this. The humor just got me. I enjoyed all the side characters so much. The animal characters were fantastic as well. Marra was a little annoying at parts but I still liked her.

This book surprised me for how much I liked it. I think you can get away with a lot of things when writing about a noble adventure with a good cast of characters you can’t help but love. The magic felt a little silly goofy because it clearly had some rules but like no real explanation of why some things happened but it was the right vibes to just be able to roll with it.

Ukochałam sobie tę książkę całym serduszkiem. Jednocześnie wzruszająca i humorystyczna. Lekka jak piórko z fantastycznymi bohaterami, a do tego poruszająca bardzo życiowe problemy (co w fantastyce nie jest takie proste). Jak dla mnie 6/5 ⭐️
